Service Department and Engineering Assistant
We are a specialist machinery company covering the UK and Ireland, the
largest in our field of surface finishing, and we are looking for an additional
member of staff to join our Service Department.
Answerable to the Service Manager the duties will initially include:
- Quoting parts and service contracts in writing and by ‘phone.
- Ordering replacements from our suppliers.
- Arranging service engineer visits.
- Diagnosing machine faults and supplying technical assistance.
- Researching new service opportunities.
All applicants should have a keen interest in engineering, have excellent I.T.
and telephone skills, have the ability to communicate with customers,
suppliers and colleagues at all levels, and be self-reliant, organised, flexible
and presentable.
We would expect a suitable candidate to have around 200 UCAS points or
equivalent, although any relevant experience will be considered. A UK driving
licence and passport would be desirable.
Comprehensive and specific training will be given.
The position will be varied and challenging.
